The Path of Exile 3.27 update makes noticeable adjustments to quest reward skill gems, changing what different classes can buy from NPC vendors after certain quests. These updates are meant to open up more build options, spread important gems across multiple classes, and make early and mid-game character planning a bit less restrictive. Popular support gems such as Kinetic Fusillade, Living Lightning, and Wall of Force are now available to a wider range of classes after specific quests, giving players more freedom to experiment with new interactions as they level PoE 1 Currency.

One example is Kinetic Fusillade, which can now be purchased from Nessa by the Witch, Shadow, and Scion once they finish The Siren's Cadence. Since this support boosts projectile damage and adds useful interaction effects, widening its availability gives these classes more room to explore projectile-oriented builds. For players who enjoy testing hybrid setups or planning around fast leveling strategies, this broader access helps a lot with early progression.

Living Lightning Support has also been redistributed. The Witch can get it after Sharp and Cruel, while the Templar and Scion can buy it from Yeena. This opens up lightning-focused builds to classes that don't usually start with strong lightning options. Since the gem adds chain lightning effects and boosts lightning damage, this change supports more experimental hybrid styles and encourages players to try elemental paths they might not have considered before.

Other kinetic-themed supports have been moved around as well. Kinetic Instability Support, which creates explosive kinetic damage on hit, is now available to the Witch via Sharp and Cruel, with Yeena selling it to Shadow and Scion. This gives more classes the ability to build around bursty on-hit explosions, benefiting physical casters, melee hybrids, or anyone looking to add efficient clearing tools to their setup.

Wall of Force is another interesting gem that's seen wider distribution. Instead of being locked to its usual class pool, it can now be obtained by the Witch after Intruders in Black, while Yeena sells it to Shadow and Scion. Because Wall of Force creates a temporary barrier that blocks enemies and projectiles, expanding access to it adds more defensive and tactical options for players who rely on positioning or crowd-control in their builds.

Ranger and Duelist benefit from changes as well. After completing A Fixture of Fate, both classes can pick up Windburst Support, and Clarissa offers it to Shadow and Scion. Since Windburst improves projectile coverage and speed, it suits mobility-heavy playstyles and enhances the offensive strengths of these classes. It also continues the trend of letting players experiment with skills typically associated with other archetypes.

A similar expansion happens with elemental support gems. Conflagration becomes available to Rangers after Sever the Right Hand, giving them access to a fire damage over time option they normally don't get that early. Thunderstorm Support, which chains lightning between enemies, is unlocked for both Ranger and Duelist from the same quest, while Shadow and Scion can buy it from Clarissa.

Sever the Right Hand also adds Kinetic Rain and Somatic Shell to the Witch's vendor pool, with Clarissa offering both to Templar, Shadow, and Scion. These shifts encourage more varied elemental and kinetic builds and give players more tools to shape their character's identity before reaching maps.

The skill gem reward adjustments in PoE 3.27 expand what players can do with early and mid-game builds. By spreading key gems across multiple classes and tying them to quest progress, the update encourages more creative approaches and removes some of the old restrictions around class identity PoE Currency buy. It also makes act progression smoother, since players have more chances to get the gems they need exactly when their builds start coming together. Anyone planning their 3.27 characters will benefit from checking which quests unlock their preferred gems so they can get the right tools as early as possible.
