Chapter 5.1 - Find the 3D model that suits your needs

You don't always have to design and model your own files to 3D print. Another way to use your 3D printer is by locating and downloading existing models from the Internet. There are many websites that house models. While some repositories may charge a fee to print their files, many more provide models that are free to use. Just remember to attribute (give credit) to the creator, and be aware that there may be additional licenses associated with the file. Be sure to check the restrictions before using.

In the two suggested repository websites youmagine and thingiverse search for 3D object that you want to 3D print to personalize you edison.

The procedure is simple. For example, you can use the thingiverse search engine, based on your request. Then you download the compressed file, uncompress the .STL file, which is into the folders of the compressed file, to your SD card and you are ready to 3D-print your model onto the 3D-printer, using the SD card you previously handled.
