How to store downloaded videos without getting lost in files?

I keep downloading clips here and there, and now my phone storage looks like total chaos. I tried creating folders, but I always end up forgetting where I saved stuff. Sometimes I want to rewatch something I grabbed a few weeks ago, but it takes forever to find. Do you guys have any tricks for organizing videos so they don’t just pile up randomly?

I had the same issue when I first started saving a bunch of content. What helped me was setting up a simple structure with folders by theme (like music, workouts, recipes). Every time I use an instagram video download tool, I just drop the file straight into the right folder instead of the default "downloads." Another tip is to rename files as soon as you save them — makes searching way easier later.

I’ve noticed a lot of people end up syncing their downloads to cloud storage instead of just leaving them on their phone or computer. That way it’s less about managing every single folder and more about being able to search quickly by keywords or dates. It also helps if you switch devices a lot — no stress if your phone memory gets full, because everything’s already backed up somewhere else.
