If ever my car breaks down on a busy New York street, my first thought is safety. Where possible, I slowly pull my car to the shoulder or a safe area and switch on my flashers for safety and caution to other motorists. If heavy traffic, remain in vehicle, do not stand close to moving vehicles. Once everyone is safe, I call NYC Roadside Assistance Services for professional assistance. I do not attempt to make risky repairs on the side of the road as it may make it worse. I stay safe until help arrives by being prepared and acting quickly.
