I'm working with schedules that involve people in different time zones, and I've been trying to make sure that times are entered consistently in LibreOffice.
One thing I've noticed is that converting between GMT and Eastern Time can sometimes be confusing, especially when daylight saving time is involved. For example, the difference isn't always the same throughout the year because Eastern Time switches between EST and EDT.
For simple calculations I usually verify the time difference before entering the schedule into a spreadsheet. I also find it helpful to check a GMT to EST conversion tool when I need to quickly confirm the correct time before putting it into LibreOffice.
I'm curious how other LibreOffice users handle this. Do you normally calculate the time difference manually, use spreadsheet formulas, or keep a reference/conversion tool available when working with international schedules?
I'd especially be interested in hearing how people handle recurring schedules where daylight saving changes during the year.
