If you’ve ever wondered why I’m suddenly obsessed with running Tier 100+ Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4, this is why: they’ve basically turned into full-on goblin fiestas for me. Since pushing into Torment 1–4, I’ve been stacking those rare goblin-related affixes on my sigils, and the result feels less like a standard dungeon run and more like cracking open a piñata that never stops spilling loot.
The main star of the show for me is an affix I think of as a true “Mythic Prankster” moment. Whenever it procs, it spawns this purple Mythic Treasure Goblin called Fancy Old Fedric. The first time I met him, I genuinely thought it was a visual bug because of how absurdly rewarding he was. Each player in the party gets five guaranteed Mythic Uniques out of him—things like Harlequin Crest, The Grandfather, Andariel’s Visage and other chase pieces all in the same drop pool. It’s random, of course, but it is always mythic-tier, which is insane value for a single goblin.
From my side, what really sold me is that Fedric doesn’t just vomit gear all over the floor and call it a day. He also drops a special bag that consistently contains one Resplendent Spark and a couple of high-end Legendary runes or gems. When I run in a full group, that’s four players walking away with a combined twenty Mythic Uniques plus four of those special bags in a single dungeon. Even if I end up with duplicates, they’re absolutely perfect for salvaging and turning into targeted crafts at the Jeweler, which has become my go-to way of narrowing down the exact stat lines I’m chasing.
Of course, there’s a catch, and I definitely felt it the first few times. As soon as these affixes kick in, every enemy in the dungeon moves and attacks noticeably faster. It’s about a third quicker across the board, and you really feel it when an elite pack suddenly covers the distance between you and them in what feels like half a second. To make this work, I had to adjust my build to pack more mobility and defensive tools than I usually would. It’s not the kind of dungeon you can half–AFK your way through; if your focus slips, those boosted monsters will roll you.
On top of Fedric, there’s the other big affix that has completely changed how I approach high-tier sigils: the one I think of as “Treasure Breach,” because it turns the entire dungeon into this crazed gold-and-material explosion. Once it’s active, the layout is absolutely infested with Treasure Goblins—sometimes twenty, sometimes thirty or more, including gilded and collector varieties that run off with half the room’s loot if you’re not quick enough to burst them down. Instead of walking from pack to pack, I now spend most of the time sprinting after cackling goblins trying not to let any escape.
In Torment 4 runs with this affix, my material gains have shot through the roof. I’m talking over ten thousand Obducite in a single clear, millions of gold by the time the key is done, and piles of Forgotten Souls, runes, and legendaries that I just couldn’t replicate doing anything else. It’s absolutely perfect for Masterworking, sanctifying gear, and gearing up any alts I decide to level. The entire experience feels like I’ve turned the late game into my personal economy simulator, where each goblin is a walking resource node begging to be popped.
The one non-negotiable condition, which I learned quickly, is that a full clear is mandatory if you want to squeeze every drop of value out of these affixes. Goblins hide everywhere. They tuck themselves behind pillars, wedge into side corridors, and even lurk by dead ends you’d normally ignore. When I run with friends, I’m the annoying one who insists we sweep every corner of the map before turning in the dungeon, but it’s always worth it when that “last room” suddenly has three goblins and a gilded one running for the exit.
From my point of view, these rare affixes are the best thing to happen to high-level Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4. They turn what used to be repetitive grinding into something I actually look forward to, because each key has the potential to explode into Mythic loot and absurd goblin chases. If you see me online raving about “another goblin fiesta,” this is exactly what I’m talking about farming high-value Diablo 4 items in u4gm.
