The deeper I go into Diablo 4’s endgame, the more my entire approach revolves around one thing: squeezing every bit of value out of my Tier 100+ Nightmare sigils. Between the affix that spawns Fancy Old Fedric and the one that floods the dungeon with Treasure Goblins, I’ve turned these high-tier dungeons into a combined loot, materials, and gold engine that keeps all my characters moving forward.
My usual routine starts with sorting my sigils and setting aside the ones that roll either the Mythic goblin spawn or the Treasure Goblin flood. If a key has one of those, it immediately jumps to the top of my list. Fedric runs are my go-to when I want pure power spikes—five Mythic Uniques per player, plus that precious bag with a Resplendent Spark and a couple of Legendary runes or gems. Those runs are all about chasing big-ticket items and high-end crafting components.
On the flip side, the Treasure Breach-style keys are my workhorse for materials and economy. When a dungeon is loaded with twenty to thirty goblins, I know I’m walking out with more Obducite, Forgotten Souls, runes, and gold than any other activity would give me in the same time. Both types of keys are valuable, but in different ways, so I alternate depending on whether I need raw gear upgrades or the resources to polish what I already have.
The trade-offs are very real, though. The Mythic goblin affix speeds up all enemies by a noticeable margin, around a third faster, which can turn a careless pull into a quick death. I’ve had to adapt my builds accordingly—more focus on survivability, mobility, and control. With Treasure Breach keys, the main difficulty is managing chaos. When goblins are scattering in all directions while elites are still alive, it’s easy to overextend chasing loot and get punished.
One habit that’s become non-negotiable for me is full-clearing the map when I use these keys. Goblins love to hide in places most players would normally skip, and it genuinely hurts to realize you’ve left potential loot behind just because you rushed to the end objective. Now I treat every unexplored area as a possible cluster of goblins or, in Fedric’s case, a chance at another mythic burst.
Playing this way has made the endgame feel much more personal. Instead of blindly grinding whatever content is “most efficient” according to some chart, I’ve shaped my own loop: roll the right sigils, run them carefully, collect goblin rewards, and feed everything back into my gear and builds. It feels like I’m driving my own progression, not just following a generic checklist. If my British friends ever wonder why I talk so passionately about goblins in Diablo 4, it’s because these high-tier sigil affixes turned them into the backbone of how I play the game now.
